9 Months!

Last Thursday Lexie turned 9 months old! I think the 9 months since she's been born has flown by compared to the 9 months I was pregnant with her. But at the same time, I can't even remember life without our sweet baby girl! She is growing up fast and doing so many things. She went to her well check at the Dr. Friday and is perfectly healthy and growing! Here are her stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 5 oz (41%)
Height: 28.5 in (81%)
Head: 17.75 in (80%)
I have been so horrible at taking pictures lately, but we did get a few when we went for a walk to the park the other day. I will try to be better and get some cute pictures of her soon.
Here is our cute girl happy to be outside.
Her scrunched up face look.
Checking out the kids on the playground.
A few things about Lexie at 9 months old:
  • She likes to laugh and play games. Her favorite is peek-a-boo. She'll lift her blanket over her head and put it down real fast and when you say "Boo!" she laughs and does it again.
  • She waves "bye-bye" and she'll also wave "hello" to her Daddy when he gets home from work.
  • Her favorite word is "Dada" and she is getting better at saying "Mama". I think her first word was "Hi", but she loves to talk in her own language and she gets a kick out of whatever it is she is saying to herself.
  • She crawls at warp speed and can stand on her own, but she fell trying to stand last week and since then hasn't really attempted it again. She's perfectly happy getting where she needs to go on her hands and knees and can still pretty much get into whatever she wants that way.
  • She puts everything in her mouth and last night I caught her right before she stuck a little spider in her mouth. I freaked out and scared her pretty bad but that was just nasty!
  • She has been doing "High 5" for a while now.
  • She loves music and will dance whenever music comes on. It's super cute!

She is so big. Enjoy these years because they go by in a flash!

The cute little kids will put about anything in their mouths. I would have freaked out over a spider too. So far Cayson's favorite thing to put in his mouth is dirt. The worst thing I've caught him eating so far is change (a penny and 2 dimes), dog food, dog poop and cat poop (these I caught in time, fortunately).

I can't believe Lexi is 9 months old! She looks like a very happy baby. It would be great to see you when you come up north. Give us a call and let us know when you'll be around. Hopefully we won't be at the cabin working!
