That's Good Eatin'!

Tonight was another first for Lexie. The past few weeks she has acted really interested in our food and just stares if we put anything in our mouths. Also the last few days she has wanted to eat more so finally we decided it was time to try feeding her rice cereal. She seemed to really like it! Here is the video of the first few bites.

She can sit if she wants to but most of the time she isn't interested because what she really wants to do is crawl which she hasn't figured out completely yet. I just can't believe how fast our baby is growing!

5 Months!

Today Lexie is 5 months old! The past 5 months have gone by SO FAST! Lexie just keeps getting cuter, sweeter, and more fun as the days go by. She is learning a lot and growing up very quickly. She has learned a new high pitch squeal that she does mostly when she is having fun playing. Also, she can nearly sit by herself, but she still does topple over so we have to be near when she is trying to sit. She rolls all the time and can roll clear across the room in a matter of seconds. We are so grateful this sweet little girl entered our lives and our home 5 months ago. We love you Lexie!

I have been bad at blogging since January hit. This is the month of winter depression and after the holidays it seems not much exciting happens for a while. We are keeping busy, just haven't taken the time to take pictures much. So here are some pictures from today.

In the picture below, Lexie started out under the toy but rolled and moved sideways. She eventually ended up clear off the pad.

Happy New Year!

Happy 2009 everyone! We spent a quiet New Year's Eve at home just the 3 of us. I spent all day cooking up a wonderful turkey dinner with homemade rolls, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and cheesecake for dessert. After dinner we just watched some movies and watched the ball drop at midnight and shared some New Year's kisses. I hope all of you have a wonderful New Year...I'm excited to see what this year brings.
