3rd Trimester Fun

We are now officially in the final stretch of this pregnancy experience - the 3rd trimester! The big event is coming fast, and that is both exciting and scary! We have started decorating the nursery and I think it's going to turn out great so we'll share pictures of that when we have it more finished.

We had a great Memorial Day weekend, spending time with family and getting to see friends. My brother Pete is leaving on his mission tom
orrow morning. Here is a picture of us with Pete this weekend. It was kind of sad to say goodbye for two years, but we are grateful he is taking the opportunity to serve the Lord! Pete is an awesome kid and I really enjoyed having him around the past year while he was going to school. We love you Pete!

Another one of my favorite parts of the weekend was getting to see my wonderful friend Kirsten, her husband Mark, and I got to meet their sweet, cute little baby boy Britton! Since she lives in California, I don't get to see Kirsten as much as I would like. In fact, it had been almost a year since we had seen each other. We first met our freshman year of college when we were blessed to be put together as roommates. I believe it was divine intervention that Kirsten was placed in my life. We became fast friends and have remained the be
st of friends for close to 9 years now! We graduated college together, got married less than 4 months apart, and now will have our first babies within 5 months of each other! I could go on and on of the fun times we've had together...like the *NSYNC concert, late night Wendy's runs, boy trauma, baking cookies to relieve stress, and my visit to Maryland and Washington D.C. while she was living back there. Here is a picture of me and Kirsten with baby Britt.

Just one quick update...on the Christmas tree. We came home from work today and much to our surprise the tree was gone!!!! We didn't even call him in or anything, his wife must have finally given him a good reason to get that thing out of here. All we care is that now the fire hazard is no longer next to our fence. Prayers really are answered.

Christmas Trees & a Fat Belly (but not Santa's)

Angie:
Here's another picture of the ever growing belly. I don't think it looks so huge until I see it on camera, but that just means our baby is growing which makes us happy. At 27 weeks, she's now probably just over 14 inches long and weighs about 2 pounds. She moves tons still and likes to play with her Daddy by kicking him when he listens to my belly and talks to her.

Bryan:
I find my wife more lovely than ever. She is as sceptical about it as ever, but I never understood until now how a man truly feels about his very pregnant wife; I am as infatuated as ever, embarrassing her in public with my affection. I know, sickening huh? People don't seem to understand why our newlywed affections haven't worn off by now.

I am still numb about the whole graduation thing, I still don't feel the exhilaration I thought I would feel. I did have one moment when I was shopping with my wife where I was thinking, "I don't want to go to class tomorrow!" Then I remembered that I didn't have to, and I felt a brief moment of euphoria equivalent to a man being released from prison. But it was just that...brief. However, I have been enjoying more time with Angie, and working straight through the day without having to jump up and go to class; oh, and don't forget not having to do homework on Saturdays.

I finally received my $40 government coupon to help buy a HDTV converter for my regular old television. I did a lot of research into which one to buy and finally decided on the Digital Stream box you can buy at Radio Shack. I hooked it up as soon as I got home and now we have beautiful crystal clear channels. Unfortunately, we can't find a CW channel in HD for our favorite show: King of Queens. Oh well, the series is over and in re-runs, perhaps we will just buy the DVDs.

I am a bit miffed at the moment. I have been over to voice my concern and even offered to remove it myself; but our neighbors refuse to dispose of their Christmas tree, which has been sitting in the alley in-between our houses since...well...Christmas. I am a bit concerned about it bursting into flame and consuming both our houses in a fireball of neglect. The wife assures me she has nagged her husband about it a lot. I was comforted by her words at first, but another month has passed; and as I have seen them pull the trailer up to the house week-after-week (my breath held in anticipation) they only have it there long enough to drive their four-wheelers and motorcycles up the ramp, then leave on yet another weekend of care-free fire-hazard-at-home fun. Suggestions that won't make my neighbors hate me are welcome.

Bryan's Graduation

Saturday Bryan graduated from SUU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Electronics, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Technology. We had several members of both families there to cheer for Bryan as he walked on the stage twice to receive both his diploma cases (you know the real diplomas aren't in there yet!) It was a great day and a great weekend and the best part is...no more classes and homework!!!! We are all proud of you!!!!
