2 Years Full of Changes

Yesterday we celebrated 2 years since the day we met. We are your typical couple who met on a blind date and then got engaged just a few short weeks later and married a couple short months after that. Meeting Bryan was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. He has made me so happy and is so good to me. He is so thoughtful and patient all of the time. I love his easy going personality and style of doing things. He has been working really hard to help me loosen up and enjoy life. We have so much fun together all of the time and are still totally addicted to each other!

Things have changed a lot in 2 years. Between the two of us we have gone through 5 job changes, bought a house, put Bryan through his last year and a half of school, and are becoming parents for the first time. I could have never imagined all these changes happening so fast on that Saturday night 2 years ago. Life is great!

Quick update on our baby girl. Now past the 24 week mark, our baby is certifiably viable, which means if she was born after this point she has a pretty good chance of survival. That chance increases the more weeks she stays put in there. We went to the Dr. on Monday and everything looks great so far. I measured slightly big, but that is pretty normal and no cause for concern. She has most likely grown to over 12 inches and weighs 1 1/2 pounds.

You Gotta Kick a Little!

So, I have been slacking a bit on the blog. Sorry to those who have commented that I don't update as much as I should. Here is an updated picture. I am now 23 1/2 weeks along and things are going great! Our baby girl is growing and getting stronger every day. The past week she has really gotten the hang of kicking. Bryan has been able to feel the kicks more often now. She does kick during the day, like at work today just an hour before it was time to get off she was really letting me know it was time for me to go home (at least if that's what she thought I agreed with her). One of her favorite times to kick is around 11:00 at night. They say sleep and awake patterns are already being formed so I'm thinking she might be a bit of a night owl just like her parents. Sunday was funny because right in the middle of Sacrament meeting she was kicking so hard she nearly moved my arm off my belly. It's nice to feel her move and know she is growing. Just for a quick update on her development, she is about a foot long and weights over a pound now!

Bryan is working hard in his last week of classes. I can't believe he only has a few days of classes, finals, and then GRADUATION! He has been working really hard and spending many hours working on final projects and studying for final exams. We'll both be happy to have this behind us!

That's all for this edition, have a wonderful week everyone!

Haircuts!

This past weekend Bryan and I got haircuts from our favorite hairstylist Lisa. Bryan has needed a haircut for a few weeks and his new haircut looks great! I decided to go with a short cut for the summer since it's probably going to get a bit toasty for me with all that extra weight I'll be carrying around in the dead heat of summer. Bryan got a bit nervous to see how much Lisa was cutting off, but both of us like the length and it's much easier to do every morning and a lot cooler. (Although, we didn't need cooling off today since we got snow here! We are hoping for some nice spring weather soon!!)

Here are some pictures of our new styles.

Not much else is new with us. We have just been working, and Bryan has been busy with final projects and other fun homework. We did enjoy conference weekend. It was a neat experience to sustain our new prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. We love him and know he is called of God! The conference talks were amazing and we learned a lot and really had an spiritual feast over the weekend.

I guess I didn't update on my last Dr. appointment. I didn't get to see my Dr. because he was delivering a baby at the hospital at the time of my appointment. Instead I saw another guy who had a PA student with him. They just measured me and asked if I was doing ok and that was the extent of my visit. I also had a different nurse this time who had a hard time finding the heartbeat so I finally told her to try a little lower where our baby usually is, and she found the heartbeat right away in that spot. Our little baby girl is continuing to grow. She's just over 10 inches long now and probably weighs around 14 ounces.
