Easter 2013

Bryan's parents came into town in the middle of March for a short visit. They wanted to do an Easter Egg hunt for the kids while they were in town, so they set one up at a little park and the kids were so excited when we got there!
They had their baskets all ready to go!
They had tons of fun searching the park for eggs & Easter treats!
With Grandma and their full baskets & Hoyt's motorcycle bunny.
For the FHE before Easter, we had an Easter lesson, and then we made "Resurrection Rolls". If you haven't tried them you can find a recipe online. It teaches the kids a great lesson & is super yummy!
 "Preparing the body"
All rolled up in the "linens" and ready to go in the tomb (oven).
And they are empty inside...the miracle of the Resurrection!
The Easter Bunny found us Saturday morning and left some yummy candy and fun surprises!
Checking out the basket goodies.
Lexie and Hoyt with their Easter baskets.
Saturday afternoon we headed to Grandpa & Grandma Hoyt's house for some fun rolling eggs at white sands. The kids had a blast!

After rolling eggs, we headed to Kanab for my Grandpa Mickelson's 84th birthday party! He had a lot of family there, and we all had a great time visiting, eating, and celebrating the life of an amazing man! I didn't get any pictures at the party, because I wasn't feeling well and spent the majority of the party chasing kids and trying to visit with everyone.

Sunday we went to church with the family, then had a nice Sunday dinner together before all heading to our separate homes. We tried to get a good family picture, but this was the best we could do with 3 tired kids after church.
I think we have a pretty cute little family. We are all grateful for the Savior, His Atonement, and the Resurrection which greatly blesses our lives. Happy Easter 2013!

"March"ing into Spring

My lofty blogging goals have not happened, but I'm still moving forward to try and at least keep track of the major happenings in our family (and a few of the small ones too).  Some of these are just random pictures from the past few weeks. Sabrie likes the farm toy and grabbing the rings to make it play songs. I have a picture of all my kids playing with this toy.
Jen came to spend a weekend with us, and it was semi-nice weather so the kids decided to play at the park. Bryan took a few pictures...maybe spring is really on the horizon--we hope!

3 cute kids sliding together...
Bryan took this cute video of Sabrie waking up in the morning. She's the happiest baby I've ever seen when she wakes up cooing and smiling, which always brightens our day!
I got the camera out to catch Sabrie rolling over & the other kids didn't want to be left out.
Here she is rolling over (and playing with her toy). After I took the video, she started rolling everywhere and can now navigate the room by just rolling around. Why must babies grow up so fast?!
St. Patrick's Day is never too big of a deal for us, but we had church and I didn't want the kids to get pinched so I at least dressed them all in green. Well, Sabrie was in a cute green dress (Lexie's baby Christmas Dress), but she had a major blowout at church and I had to change her. At least there were green accents on this yellow outfit that was my emergency backup in the diaper bag.
Sabrie had her 4 month well-check on the 18th, where they confirmed what we already knew: that she is indeed a big, healthy & happy baby girl!  Here are the 4 month stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz (88%)
Height: 26 in (92%)
She's such a fun baby with lots of hugs and smiles for us. She didn't have any reaction to her second round of immunizations. She's just outgrowing her clothes faster than I can switch the sizes, so I guess she's getting fed enough. :) We love our baby girl!
