9 Months!

Last Thursday Lexie turned 9 months old! I think the 9 months since she's been born has flown by compared to the 9 months I was pregnant with her. But at the same time, I can't even remember life without our sweet baby girl! She is growing up fast and doing so many things. She went to her well check at the Dr. Friday and is perfectly healthy and growing! Here are her stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 5 oz (41%)
Height: 28.5 in (81%)
Head: 17.75 in (80%)
I have been so horrible at taking pictures lately, but we did get a few when we went for a walk to the park the other day. I will try to be better and get some cute pictures of her soon.
Here is our cute girl happy to be outside.
Her scrunched up face look.
Checking out the kids on the playground.
A few things about Lexie at 9 months old:
  • She likes to laugh and play games. Her favorite is peek-a-boo. She'll lift her blanket over her head and put it down real fast and when you say "Boo!" she laughs and does it again.
  • She waves "bye-bye" and she'll also wave "hello" to her Daddy when he gets home from work.
  • Her favorite word is "Dada" and she is getting better at saying "Mama". I think her first word was "Hi", but she loves to talk in her own language and she gets a kick out of whatever it is she is saying to herself.
  • She crawls at warp speed and can stand on her own, but she fell trying to stand last week and since then hasn't really attempted it again. She's perfectly happy getting where she needs to go on her hands and knees and can still pretty much get into whatever she wants that way.
  • She puts everything in her mouth and last night I caught her right before she stuck a little spider in her mouth. I freaked out and scared her pretty bad but that was just nasty!
  • She has been doing "High 5" for a while now.
  • She loves music and will dance whenever music comes on. It's super cute!

The Prophet Said To Plant a Garden

I don't know how many of you know that primary song "The Prophet Said To Plant a Garden", but it has been going through my head for about a week now. We've wanted to start a garden and decided to try the "Square Foot Gardening" method since we don't really have a good garden spot in our backyard with good soil. We built the boxes this weekend and went to buy soil, plants, and seeds. Finally tonight for FHE we got all the plants and seeds planted and now we'll see how well we do at our first gardening experience.

Here is Lexie and Bryan and our  garden boxes (our backyard isn't very attractive yet, but we'll get there eventually one thing at a time)
Here is Lexie enjoying time in her stroller. Her new favorite thing with the nice weather is to be outside going for rides.

After being so patient while we planted, she was ready to get out!

For Mother's Day Bryan gave me flowers.
Here are the flowers he gave me...they will last through the summer!
I hope all of you awesome mothers had a great Mother's Day! I had a great day going to visit my amazing Mom and spending time with family. I am so grateful to be a mother and have such a loving husband and sweet daughter to make my life full of joy. Life has been crazy the past few weeks, but life is good! I'll have to post more about things that have been going on when I get a chance, but it is late and I must get ready for bed. Until next time...
