Family Time

First of all, I missed posting last week when Lexie turned 8 months old. She is getting so big and as you know, she started crawling the week she turned 7 months and the week after that she really started pulling herself up to things and now she really pulls herself up to EVERYTHING and walks around holding on to the wall, couch, etc. Sometimes she'll let go and stand by herself for a bit until she realizes what she is doing then she falls down. Lexie is such a happy girl and we have so much fun with her! We've been out of town visiting family the past few weekends and last weekend we were in Logan with the Lymans. We haven't been with all of the Lyman family for over a year, so it was great to see everyone. Lexie had never met Uncle Steve and Aunt Lucy and hadn't seen Grandma and Grandpa Lyman since she was 3 weeks old. She was really good with everyone and had fun with her cousins. We had a photographer come and take pictures of everyone and we don't have those back yet, but here are some we took with our camera.
Here is our happy family.
This is our funny picture with Bryan hanging Lexie upside down.
She loves this and just laughs and laughs when he does it to her.
Lexie with Daddy & Mommy & sitting on the grass for the first time.

Here she is checking out Uncle Steve's beard. :)

And here is Lexie with all of her cousins...yep all girls so far!
Bryan with his parents and siblings.
Thanks for a great time everyone!

Easter 2009

We had a great Easter with Lexie this year! We went over to tend some of my younger siblings while my parents were in SLC with my brother Matt because he was being honored at the Jazz game for being selected 1st team all-state basketball. The night before we left town I found some plastic Easter eggs for Lexie to play with and she really loved it! She first checks them out...

Then she collects them...
And then she does with them what she does with eveything...
She tries to eat them!
And here is Lexie with her first Easter Basket. She got eggs of candy that she shared with Mom & Dad and she got the complete Children's Songbook CDs and already loves listening to the primary songs!
Here she is hanging out with Uncle Timmy and Aunt Jennifer.

Bryan enjoyed playing a little Guitar Hero and Angie and Lexie tried to take care of the kids. I don't think we're quite ready for 5 yet (especially not ready for teenagers)!
We did have a fun time with family and I felt bad because I wanted to get an Easter picture with the 3 of us, but making sure everyone was ready for church and there by 9 wasn't too easy and the camera was kind of forgotten that day. Next time I guess.
We are so grateful for Easter and the blessing of our Savior's atonement and resurrection. I watched this last night and really enjoyed it so follow the link and enjoy it as well.

Busy and Birthday Fun

It's late and Lexie is in bed which means it would be smart of me to be sleeping too, but this is the only chance I've had to get on and blog for a while. She is getting so busy now that she can crawl and get into everything in a matter of seconds. I spend most of my days chasing her around the house, closing the bathroom door so she can't try to stand up to the toilet.  Lexie's new thing is to pull herself to standing. She started doing this a few weeks ago right after she learned to crawl. She started just standing up in her crib and always had a big grin on her face whenever we went to get her out of bed.
Here is what I see every morning and after naps. Super cute!
Now she is standing up to the couch, TV, and as you see, her playpen. I had to put her in there to shower this morning and if you can't tell she was crying and mad because she wanted to get out.
We didn't get many good pictures of us over the weekend. Lexie was not having a good weekend because she was trying to cut her 2nd tooth on the bottom. I'm happy to report the tooth finally broke through this morning and she's been much happier today!
This is Lexie with her Aunt Jodi at the party.
This is all of the grankids minus about 6 and a few spouses.
And this is my grandpa getting one of his gifts. It is a picture of Christ holding children because that is my grandpa. There are so many pictures of him holding grandkids on his lap. I am the oldest granddaughter and have so many great memories of my grandpa. He may be 80, but he looks at least 20 years younger than that and has amazing health. I love you grandpa and we are glad we got to spend time with you to celebrate the past 80 years of your life...here's to many more years to come!
