6 Months & Family Visits

I apologize to all those who were expecting 6 month pictures of Lexie...it has been a crazy week! After getting back from our little trip, I ended up getting way sick with a cold and I'm still recovering. Luckily Lexie and Bryan have been spared from the illness. I'm warning you that this is kind of a long post.

Last Friday we went up north to visit some of Bryan's family. Our first stop was Los Hermanos which is a Lyman family favorite...I have been craving it for over a year so I was super excited! It was fun to visit with James, Jenny, Bethany, Stan, Kristie, Amanda, Nicole, Alisa and Elora!

For Valentine's Day we didn't even get any pictures, but we just spend the day with Bryan's brother Stan's family and visited which was a lot of fun. We got a picture of Lexie with their family Sunday before church.
Lexie turned 6 months old on Valentine's Day. I can't believe it's been 1/2 a year since she was born! We went to the Dr. today and here are the 6 month stats for Lexie:
Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz (54%)
Height: 27 inches (87%)
Lexie is getting more vocal and doesn't like to be held down...she's ready to be on the move. She can't quite crawl yet, but she can turn and roll to get wherever she wants. She's so sweet and hardly ever gets upset or cries. We are so spoiled to have such an adorable and good baby!
We love our cute girl!
Here is a video of Lexie in her new jumper her cousin Bethany is letting her use. As you can see, she really likes it!

Yesterday Lexie's Great Grandpa and Grandma Mickelson came to visit. She had fun visiting with them.
We love you Grandma & Grandpa!

To My Valentine

Well, I admit I used to despise Valentine's Day. For 24 years I had no one to be my Valentine and every year it was a reminder of how alone I was. Then on April 29, 2006 I went on a blind date that would change my life forever. First the blind date, then a few days later yellow roses. After less than 2 weeks of knowing each other we were officially dating.
This was us 2 weeks after we met

And then we dated for another week...
This is us hiking at Cascade Falls

Then we went ring shopping after just 3 weeks of meeting and another week or so after that we were officially engaged. Two months later we were married on August 11, 2006!

Then 6 months after we were married it was Valentine's Day and finally I had my very own Valentine! He was so sweet our first Valentine's Day. He got me a sweet card and wrote me a poem (he wrote me a few poems when we were dating and they were amazing)! He brought me roses and sang the Michael Buble song "You and I". It was the best! I got him balloons, chocolate, a stuffed animal (which is an inside joke). It was great!

I love you so much Bryan. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love you more and more each day. Thanks for always being so sweet and romantic and making each day seem like Valentine's Day. I love you! Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow!

Just Hanging Out

I don't have too much to post about this week. Lexie's Aunt Annie has been visiting us for almost a week and it has been fun to have her around. Lexie sure has enjoyed having someone else to play with! I need to get some pictures of the two of them before she leaves.

Last Thursday we went to Milford to watch my brother Matt play basketball. It is his senior season and he doesn't have too many more games to play so I want to try and watch him as much as I can. Lexie did not like the noise at the game. Milford's crowd gets a little crazy and they had really loud speakers so everytime it got really loud she cried. But it was fun to watch Matt play a great game and see his team win! He recently scored his 1,000th career varsity point and was named "Prep of the Week" for the Deseret News. He really is an amazing athlete and the one who keeps that team going. We are very proud of him and all of his awesome accomplishments. In addition to being such a great athlete, he is also a good student and has been named to Academic All-State for baseball and basketball and is doing sterling scholar in social studies. Good job Matt!

We took a few pictures the other morning when Lexie was playing with us in our bedroom while I was trying to get ready for the day. She was having so much fun so here are a few pictures.
