October Fun

Here is our little Pumpkin looking cute! This is not her Halloween costume. It was her cousin Bethany's costume from last year, but we decided to dress her up in it just to take some pictures. We finally got this smile out of her, but as you look at the pictures of Bryan holding her, she didn't really enjoy wearing the costume, but she looks cute in just about anything.

Here are some pictures from our FHE tonight making Halloween cookies. It was fun making and decorating the cookies and they tasted great too!

One of Lexie's new favorite things to do is watch cartoons. She is fascinated by the TV and already has some favorite shows. Mostly she likes cartoons with lots of music. Her favorite show she watches almost every day is Super Why on PBS. She will watch and coo and try talking all through the show. Today we decided to try letting her watch Winnie the Pooh. She's very familiar with him since her room is a "Pooh" theme. She seemed to really enjoy the movie for a while until she fell asleep but here is a picture of her watching her movie.

Sorry, there are a lot of pictures on this post. This next picture is Lexie in her cool hoodie outfit. I just thought it was cute so we are sharing it. We hope you are all having a great October! We'll be posting pictures of Lexie's first Halloween this coming weekend. Hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween!

Happy Birthday Grandma Lyman!

Lexie would like to wish her Grandma Lyman a very Happy Birthday today! We hope she has a great day! Here are some pictures we took in her honor today. We all love you Mom and Grandma!

Lexie will turn 10 weeks old tomorrow and continues to grow and get cuter every day! This past weekend she got to meet some of her great aunts, great uncles, and cousins on the Mickelson side. She is very social and didn't want to sleep at all when we were over visiting my family because she didn't want to miss a thing. As you can tell from the pictures she likes to smile all the time now and we love it!

Our Big, Brave Girl

Yesterday was our 2 month Dr. appointment. As I said before, she has grown a lot in recent weeks and went from being on the smaller side of the percentages to the larger end from her last appointment. Here are the stats for Lexie at 2 months:
Weight: 11 lbs. 13 oz. - 76% (up from 47%)
Height: 23.25 in. - 83% (up from 28%)
Head: 15.25 in. - 50% (up from 31%)
We also survived Lexie's first round of shots. I almost cried any time I thought about having to watch her get the shots. She was in such a happy mood all morning long which made me feel terrible thinking of putting her through the pain, but I know it was necessary so I took Bryan with me and we got through it together. She only cried for about a minute after they poked her then she calmed down pretty fast. Lexie hardly ever cries so to hear her cry in pain was not fun but she did really well. About 2 hours after the shots she cried a lot and if I touched her legs she cried even more because they were hurting. I gave her some Tylenol and she calmed down and went to sleep. She wanted me to hold her most of the afternoon. I gave her another dose of Tylenol in the evening and she was happy and cooing until she went to bed. She actually slept all night long only getting up once to eat and I didn't have to give her any more medicine and today she seems to be doing great so I'm glad she got through that so well. Here is a picture I took where you can see the bandaids on both her legs from the shots and also see how big she's getting.

2 Months Old

Today Lexie is 2 months old. Tomorrow we have her Dr. appointment so I'll post her 2 month stats then, but here are some pictures of her today. She has really grown a lot! At church there was a baby only 2 weeks younger than Lexie and she was tons smaller and there is another baby that is 2 months older who is about the same size so we'll see how much she really has grown in the past month. She is such a happy baby and so easy going. She has brought such joy to our home the past 2 months!

Lexie has been sleeping in her own room in the crib for a couple of weeks now. It has really helped all of us sleep better at night and she has only been getting up once during the night to eat (most nights) so that has made me very happy! Here are pictures of her in the crib and of her bedroom. We went with a Winnie the Pooh theme and it's super cute. Bryan and I made and painted the name plate and little shelves while I was pregnant on some Saturday mornings. They were our little craft projects. It was fun, and they turned out really cute.

A Day With Aunt Jennifer

Yesterday Lexie got to spend the day with her Aunt Jennifer. We had a great day playing and having a good time. Mom & Dad/Grandma & Grandpa spent the day watching Matt play baseball in the state playoffs. They won 1-0 and are now in the semifinals this weekend! Matt also made academic allstate for baseball so we are very proud of him! Here are some pictures of our day with Jen. I wish I would have gotten some pictures of us at the playgrounds we took Jen to. She really enjoyed going to all those slides! We had a great day and it got me some experience in having two kids. :) Everywhere we went people thought Jen was ours...we'll claim her because she's pretty darn cute!

This picture was taken by Jen, thus my head being cut off, but I love Lexie in this picture.
